about quinton chadwick

Design duo Jane Chadwick and Jess Quinton have run their intrinsically English label for 10 years. Combining traditional knitting techniques with a quirky modern edge. Each piece is hand knitted in England by smalll co-operatives of women.

They formed Quinton Chadwick to make knitwear for themselves on finding that all that was available in the high fashion market was either big catwalk statements or boring mass produced pieces made only to fit into a collection. Their mission - to make knitwear to keep and love, with enough character and quality to make it more than a one-season wonder.

Attention to detail in both the design aesthetic and the high quality of the make has become the label's trade mark.

Winners of the U.K.F.E small business award, they have a loyal following of high end independent boutiques in the UK and Europe, as well as department stores around the world, such as Takashimiya New York and Le Bon Marché Paris. For all stockists see the stockists page.

Due to their textile design backgrounds, (Jess worked for Missoni after graduating from the R.C.A. and Jane ran her own label and trend forcast consultancy), they naturally focus on fabric and stitch development. They were one of the first to put techno fibres such as Tactel and Tencel into knitwear and they are presently working on felting techniques for their new accessories range QC, as well as a new 12 and 7 gauge cashmere range.

The label is now offerring a bespoke service to its clients. Having their own production allows this flexibility as well as the ability to supply orders or repeats at almost any time of year. Please contact us using the contact button above.
